Summer Carnival (Aug. 4-15)

Round up the kids for this amusement park and carnival complete with rides, games, cotton candy and snow cones at Rotary Park, through Shooting Stars Amusements.

 

Mini Peach (Aug. 7)

This mini version of the much-loved Peach Festival will be fun for the whole family, including vendors, local performers and motocross riders performing stunts on Main Street in front of Gyro Park, plus amusement rides. There will also be a small parade, with the evening finishing off with an AC/DC cover band.

 

Dragon Boat Festival (Sept. 10-12)

Cheer on the teams as the Millennium boats take to the water off Skaha Lake Park. They’ll have a vendor’s market, food trucks and a beverage garden.

 

RibFest (Sept. 17-19)

Arrive hungry! This festival features three days of good eats, entertainment, activities and a beverage garden. Organized by the Rotary Club of Penticton, it’s always a high-spirited event, taking place at Skaha Lake Park.

 

Granfondo Axel Merckx Okanagan (Sept. 19)

This mass cycling event ranks as one of North America’s premier cycling events, attracting recreational, elite and pro cyclists for an epic weekend of road cycling through Okanagan wine country.

 

Kettle Mettle (Sept. 24-25)

Deemed one of the most scenic Gravel Fondo courses in North America, this race attracts athletes for two days of events, including a 50K, 100K and 135K+ race, based at Okanagan Lake Park.

 

Subaru IRONMAN Canada (Sept. 26)

We are proud to host this event once again, bringing it home to Penticton, where the action began in Canada nearly 40 years ago. Athletes will be in the city for a number of days, with the big event on Sept. 26 over numerous locations including Okanagan Lake Park, Gyro Park and Rotary Park. Cheer them on and give them a strong welcome!

 

BC Bike Race (BCBR) Gravel Explorer (Sept. 27-Oct. 1)

This race is about the spirit of adventure, a gravel grind with grit. In this five-day stage race format, riders will explore the South Okanagan region, weaving through wine country.

 

Expedition Canada (Sept. 29-Oct.3)

Featuring teams of four racers, they will tackle a 403km course on foot, bikes and canoes while using maps and compasses to make their way from checkpoint to checkpoint.

 

BCBR Flagship Mountain Bike Race (Oct. 2-8)

This 7-stage mountain bike race is dubbed the ultimate singletrack experience, featuring a combination of natural and hand-built trails crafted for mountain bikers.
